Oils based on the Malverns, I think the smaller one is finished but I may tinker. I’m enjoying the smell of oil paint in the studio. I’m exploring some of the different mediums that one can use with oils too.
Sunflowers for #Ukraine all proceeds going to refugee agencies. All of these are framed and sold, all money to DEC Ukraine, thank you.
Update :Paintings have gone to new homes, cards and bookmarks went well too. It’s a lovely little gallery space and so well organised by the group of artists who run it. The postponed #WhitstableOysterFestival was happening on Monday Bank Holiday, crash helmets were the order of the day. Very busy despite grey weather. I really enjoyed talking to friends and visitors to the gallery. If you’re nearby do pop in to say hello to the next exhibitors.
Next exhibition, ‘Oil and Water’ is at the Fishslab Gallery, Whitstable 24th – 31st August. I shall have new work, watercolour, acrylics and oils as well as mixed media pieces. (Below is is a photo from the last time I was there. Those two pieces have sold now) .
(Send a message if you are interested pre-exhibiting.) Sorting out new pieces and framing, clearing older work, interesting for me to see how my work changes. I still love loose, vibrant watercolour.
Exhibition over, next one in Whitstable at the end of the month, @TheFishslabGallery August 24th – 31st. Thank you everyone who came in to @thehalpernpop #Rochester and chatted, bought cards and bought artwork. These are some of the ones sold….
All set up for a week in this beautiful sunny room. Open from 10:00am to 4:00pm. I will be there for most of the day working a bit, listening to the ambient sounds of conversations and soft jazzy music coming from the bar and restaurant. Come in and say “hi” if you’re free.
Ruthlessly sorting out the browser and selecting the paintings for the exhibition in Rochester starting next Wednesday at the Halpern Pop, at the beautiful newly restored Conservancy Building (great bar and cafe).
